Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson wants Bayelsans to participate actively in the forthcoming Thanksgiving Day slated for the 2nd of next month to attract more blessings from God.
Governor Dickson made the remark at the maiden State monthly Praise and Worship night at the King of Glory Chapel, in Government House, Yenagoa.
The Governor, who stressed the importance of expressing gratitude to God at all times for His grace and mercies upon their lives and families, enjoined them to also spare a thought for President Goodluck Jonathan to enable him succeed in his transformation agenda.
Governor Dickson solicited the prayers of men and women of goodwill for strength and wisdom to direct the affairs of the State.
According to the Governor, the State has been enjoying peace and stability owing to the harmonious relationship existing among the three arms of Government, stating that he will not be deterred from fulfilling his resolve to turn around the fortunes of the State for the overall good of all.
Governor Dickson also noted that the people of the State could use the opportunity of the Thanksgiving Day to rededicate and reconcile themselves with God and be instruments of positive change.
Earlier in his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Religious Affairs, Pastor Samuel John Peters said the religious activities being undertaken by Government would take the State to greater heights.
The Praise and Worship Night featured various choir groups such as King of Glory Chapel Choir, Royal Voices of the First Baptist Church, Igbogene, Victorious Voices of Overcomers Assembly and Restoration Choir.
