May 1 declared as public holiday by FG

Federal Government has declared Wednesday, May 1 as public holiday to commemorate this year’s workers day.
In a statement, the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro commended Nigerian workers for their resilience and commitment in the face of the current challenges in the country.

The statement, which was signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Anesthesia Nwoebia, also congratulated Nigerians for their resilience and commitment in the face of the challenges of daily living.

Moro urged Nigerian workers to sustain their support for the Goodluck Jonathan administration’s efforts to lead the country on the right path to the next level.
The Minister also wished all Nigerian workers a joyous and fruitful celebration.

  1. Your money should NOT have gone to any of those charities or institutions. That is the whole point I am trying to make. A government should provide a few basic and essential services, nothing more. It should certainly not force one private party to give special treatment to another via its monopoly on violence.
