The governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson on the 19th, April 2013 In channels TV (Sunrise Daily) re-a firm that his government’s policy is geared towards providing security to attract investment that will create jobs, develop, build skills and support the massive developmental agenda created for the people of the state.
While speaking on Channels Television’s Breakfast Show held in Yenagoa (Bayelsa), to investigate the progress his administration has made in terms of development, Gov. Dickson said “the private sector has shown a lot of interest in terms of investment in the state both from within and outside Nigeria”.
He added that “the state has come up with a lot of initiatives such as Bayelsa Investment and Development Cooperation (BIDC) which is headquartered in London while the regional office is located in South Africa”.
He said the idea behind the initiative is to “take the market drive to these strategic places”
