Man Builds Light Plane in Bayelsa

Unemployment or under employment need not keep anyone from fulfilling their dreams says a young man from Brass in Bayelsa state, who in homestead has built a light plane that he hopes will fly someday soon.

36 year old Ifiemi Felagha, works with an oil servicing firm but spent all his free time in the past eight years working on living his light plane dream and he’s seen it through by building a light plane, named Destiny.

According to the parent of this young man without tertiary education, has had a knack for putting things together since his childhood.

The aircraft is however yet to take-off because Ifiemi is not a trained Pilot. He is now consulting with aviation experts but for now, he keeps moving the aircraft on his make-shift runway.

  1. The little efforts of an individual if encouraged can become a global moving economy. Certificate is for relevance but talent is for result. Ifiemi has proven that in a society where all t those in their prime age are freedom fighters , ifiemi is a freedom flier, building the mass of a plane. He only need to learn about the law of aerodynamics to counteract the law of gravity in order to keep h is plane “destiny” in the mid air. Not too long from now this brass born plane manufacturer will be competing with boeing and Airbus. Like OBJ once said in 2001 National Youth Policy review. What the mind can create, the hand can construct.
